ISD is seeking a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of an ambitious new project focused on stimulating youth civic action across Jordan and the MENA region, aiming to counter polarisation, hate, and extremism.
The Programme Manager will be a key person in leading the planning and delivery of project activities on the ground, working with a wide range of people from local youth to regional governments and local prevention networks (LPN’s). They will work closely with regional programme managers as well as ISD’s Strong Cities Network team, and supervise a project coordinator
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day project management of the Youth Civic Action project, ensuring the deliverables are meeting agreed timelines, are meeting budgets, and overseeing all donor reporting
- Lead development of training materials and coordinating ISD’s technical experts and consultants in drafting and delivering capacity building activities for youth and LPN’s
- Coordinating research to inform these training materials
- Represent ISD at National and international forums to showcase work and advocate for the inclusion of youth and local actors in national policy
Candidates must proven knowledge of peace and security programming in Jordan and the Middle East, along with demonstrable experience in programme management and working with on-the-ground community-based projects. Candidates must be fluent in Arabic.
