Be Internet Citizens London Training Workshop

This event brought together over 120 youth and education practitioners – youth workers, NGO workers, secondary school teachers – to receive training in the Be Internet Citizens (BIC) educational resources, so that they could deliver the BIC lesson and session plans to young people independently.

The day kicked off with keynotes speeches and a panel debate on the need for improved digital citizenship provision for young people in the UK and how policymakers, public sector and civil society workers can contribute to this, with panelists including:

  • Humza Arshad – actor and writer of YouTube series Diary of a Bad Man
  • Sasha Havlicek – CEO, Institute for Strategic Dialogue
  • Grant Edgar, Head Teacher, Banovallum School, Horncastle
