ISD’s Iris Boyer will join women leaders in a panel discussion, sharing ISD’s research on online abuse and misogyny toward female public figures and internet users. The online event Women leaders on the front lines of digital hate and violence (Les femmes leaders face aux contenus haineux et aux violences numériques) is organised by the Canadian Embassy in France and the French Digital Council (CNnum).

The all-female panel of experts from civil society and government will discuss challenges, opportunities and solutions for applying the law in cases of online abuse, as well as ways to support respectful behaviour online. The discussion will be in both French and English.

More information about online misogyny can be found in The ISD report Public Figures, Public Rage: Candidate abuse on social media.

Iris Boyer is an Advisor at ISD France.
