Antisemitic content “skyrocketed” on Twitter after Elon Musk’s takeover

ISD partnered with the Washington Post for exclusive coverage of our new research paper on the dramatic rise in antisemitism on Twitter, produced with CASM Technology. The reporting outlined data findings from our analysis showing how “antisemitic posts on Twitter skyrocketed” 105% since Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform, and described the report as “one of the most extensive efforts to date to quantify how Musk’s drastic makeover of the company has impacted the prevalence of hate speech on the platform.”

WaPo also reported how— when approached by journalists for comment— Twitter’s press mailbox auto-replied with an email containing a poop emoji, showing the level of seriousness with which the platform is taking the issue of online hate.
