Erasmus+ funds Innovative Digital Tools to combat radicalisation among young people

ISD’s Jakob Guhl was the keynote speaker at the final event of CAYET, a project funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ program. CAYET uses innovative digital tools (IDTs) to build capacity for youth workers to prevent violent extremism and radicalisation among young people.
The online event included a 30-minute speech by Jakob on extremism across the political spectrum and the hybridised threat landscape, which combines extremist discourses with an array of other narratives including conspiracy theories and new-age spirituality. Jakob then participated in the panel discussion.
Panellists included Werner Prinzjakowitsch from Viennese Youth Centres, Ashton Kingdon from the University of Southhampton, Fabian Reicher from bOJA . The by Daniela Pisoiu (oiip). The event was moderated by Daniela Pisoiu from the Austrian Institute for International Affairs.
