Russian information operations target Hungarian election

Fabricated claims about the Hungarian election spreading online appear to be linked to Russian disinformation campaigns. 

In their coverage of this development, Euronews cited ISD’s finding that pro-Kremlin information operations have increased their activity in Hungary over the past few weeks, focusing their efforts on discrediting the opposition opponent and his party. 

Specifically, ISD found fake websites linked to the propaganda unit that were all registered in two weeks and spread false claims about the Hungarian opposition in English and Hungarian.
