For 20 years, ISD has delivered field-leading threat detection, analysis and real-world strategies to combat terrorism, extremism and authoritarianism - in all their ideological forms.

Resources

ISD has nearly two decades of experience tackling hate, extremism and information manipulation, and providing practitioners with the material they need. Our resources include extra-curricular activities and educational resources, and databases and toolkits for civil society, local authorities, policymakers and more. Our publications can also provide further information on threats to democracy and liberal society: these range from accessible explainers on specific groups, to quick-fire analysis on the issues of the day, to methodologically rigorous reports supported by qualitative and quantitative data.

Business

We are proud to be a leader in digital literacy training for adults and business leaders, helping organisations foster a culture of digital citizenship. Our programmes support both leadership and employees in countering weaponised hate, information operations and false narratives in their workplace. We also work with businesses to provide bespoke insights into evolving narratives targeting their industries and help identify potential threats to both organisations and individuals. To find out more about how ISD can support your business, email [email protected].

Researchers

For 20 years, ISD has worked with researchers across the globe to advance high quality, methodologically rigorous study of extremism, hate and information operations. In addition to producing a substantial body of publicly accessible quantitative and qualitative research each year, we develop cutting-edge tools to help researchers build and analyse datasets. These include the Information Laundromat, which identifies shared architecture and content across websites, and the Hamilton dashboard, which tracks narratives promoted by Russian, Chinese and Iranian government officials and state-backed media. We also deliver training for frontline practitioners and researchers across sectors on OSINT and other digital research techniques.
