Australia published a call for feedback on the Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023, while the eSafety Commissioner issued a reporting notice to Twitter under the Online Safety Act 2021. The Council of the EU adopted its general approach on the European Media Freedom Act. Taamneh ruled against the family of a 2017 ISIS attack victim who sought to hold social media companies liable for allowing ISIS to use their platforms.
