Russia is engaging in a coordinated disinformation campaign targeting Germany ahead of the state elections.

ISD’s Pablo Maristany de las Casas was recently interviewed by Der Spiegel in the outlet’s coverage of these ongoing campaigns.

Der Spiegel described Pablo’s research, detailed in ISD’s new report, including his analysis of around 250 “Matryoschka” posts referencing the upcoming state elections.

Pablo described his findings, highlighting that all parties apart from BSW and AfD were attacked, which are the parties opposed to sanctions against Russia. He explained that the goal of Russia’s information operation is to polarize the current discourse.
