The state of Russian information operations following attacks on Russian data centers

The recent attacks on Russian data centers have raised questions on the future of Russian information campaigns.

ISD Analyst Pablo Maristany de las Casas spoke to AFP about the state of these campaigns following the Yandex outage.

Pablo highlighted that Storm-1516 and Matryoshka remain active, with Storm-1516 continuing to post false information regarding German and French politicians. However, Pablo noted that experts cannot rule out disruptions stemming from the attacks that could affect other elements of the online ecosystem.

Pablo’s analysis is available on France 24, Le Télégramme, The Journal and more.
