Senior Research Manager

Steven Rai is a Senior Research Manager at ISD Canada, where he focuses on accelerationism, extremism and nihilistic violence within Canada and the US. Prior to joining ISD, Steven worked with the Government of Canada on counter-terrorism, international policing and peacekeeping, and global development. Additionally, he held private sector roles related to fraud investigations. Steven’s analysis and commentary have been featured widely across Canadian media, including CBC, Global News, CTV News, the Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star, as well as international outlets such as the New York Times, the Guardian and Wired, among others.
