ISD Event
Toolkit launch: Addressing the intersection between TFGBV, targeted hate and violent extremism
This event has now ended.
Join us for the launch of a new ISD toolkit examining the links between misogyny, targeted hate and violent extremism.
This event marks the first deliverable of Project Catalyst, a consortium led by the Christchurch Call Foundation to explore and counter the role of misogyny in violent extremism.
The toolkit examines how technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), targeted hate, and violent extremism intersect. It introduces a harms taxonomy to support clearer identification and classification of these overlaps, and provides practical guidance for policymakers, regulators, law enforcement, prevention practitioners, and tech platforms. It also includes analysis of legal frameworks across Jordan, Kenya, and Canada and other international policy best practice.
This event is intended for policymakers, civil society organisations, researchers, and practitioners working on issues related to gender-based violence and violent extremism.
This event was hosted on 21 May 2026, and was led by CCF’s Yasmin Chilmeran and ISD’s Anne Craanen and Milo Comerford.
We kindly ask attendees to register using their institutional email addresses.
