Peter Benzoni

Senior Research Manager

Peter Benzoni is a Senior Research Manager at ISD-US. He architects and builds part of ISD’s digital infrastructure, develops new methodologies and analyses to combat information threats, and conducts open-source investigations. He works across the organization on issues ranging from hate speech to foreign information threats to capacity building. He previously held a similar role at the Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD), most notably building the Information Laundromat, a tool co-developed with and now housed at ISD.

He had also worked at Atlas Public Policy, where he developed many of ASD’s tools, including Hamilton, Social Data Search and the War in Ukraine Dashboard. Earlier in his career, he developed software for the US Department of Energy and Accenture Federal Services. He holds an MS in Data Science from UC Berkeley, as well as a BS in Computer Engineering and a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Iowa State University
