Senior Threat Analyst
Mary Bennett (“MB”) Doty is a Senior Threat Analyst at ISD-US. She works across the team’s portfolios to track online-to-offline threats of political violence and other types of harms in the United States. MB’s work includes identifying threats to public safety and developing analytical products to support civil society, law enforcement, and government stakeholders working to prevent harm and build more resilient communities.
Prior to joining ISD, MB built and led information integrity initiatives to protect veterans, their families and local officials across the US from foreign adversaries and other malicious actors. She also analyzed the quality and rhetoric of propaganda produced by violent non-state actors around the globe.
MB holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace, War and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research has been published by the Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET), VoxPol and the Accelerationism Research Consortium (ARC), among other research outlets.
