Russian influence campaigns spiked in Poland ahead of presidential election

The Guardian’s Ukraine war briefing recently featured ISD’s research into a spike in pro-Kremlin influence campaigns in Poland ahead of the country’s presidential election.

The report shows how Russian-aligned actors are exploiting growing tensions between Poles and the nearly one million Ukrainian refugees in the country. These campaigns have inflamed anti-Ukrainian sentiment—spreading narratives that portray refugees as “rural people who have broken into the city” and claim they have “behaved like pigs.”
