ISD analysis cited in ABC News coverage of shooting incident at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Officials and lawmakers are facing a growing volume of threats in an increasingly volatile and polarized environment. 

The recent shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner offers an example of this landscape. ABC News’ coverage of this event quoted ISD’s February 2026 analysis, which found threats against US President Donald Trump “accounted for 47 percent of violent threats in our dataset.”
