Climate change deniers are incorporating vocabulary from the Covid-19 pandemic into their own discourse in order to instill fear and push the so-called ‘climate lockdown’ narrative, a new conspiracy in the anti-climate space warning against an impending authoritarian doom. ISD’s Jennie King spoke with Channel 4 News about our latest report ‘Climate lockdown’ and the Culture Wars, and comments on how the pandemic has ultimately been weaponised by deniers and right-wing media outlets.
