ISD’s Katherine Keneally featured on CBC about Montreal shooter’s manifesto

The man suspected of carrying out Monday’s fatal shooting in Montreal left behind a violent incel manifesto targeting women.

Katherine Keneally, ISD’s Director of Threat Analysis and Prevention, spoke to CBC about the shooter’s manifesto, explaining that it blended incel beliefs and Marxist ideology, among others.

“Written in a more academic fashion than we typically see in manifestos, the author espoused anti-pornography views and described men as an oppressed class who are being exploited by both capitalism and women.”
