ISD’s Sasha Havlicek speaks to the New York Times about a ‘dual front’ of disinformation targeting German elections

Sasha Havlicek, ISD’s Co-Founder and CEO, spoke to the New York Times about the disinformation swirling around the upcoming German elections. The article covers an ISD report detailing a coordinated effort involving approximately 50 accounts spreading AI-manipulated content and election-related disinformation. When asked about these campaigns, Sasha explained, “we’re now dealing with a dual front.”

“Between Musk’s overt and the Kremlin’s covert operations, it is clear from the content that there’s mutual reinforcement there,” she added.
