Investigative technology journalist Janhoi McGregor enlisted ISD Senior Analyst Ciarán O’Connor for an investigation on the Squid Game crypto scam. In 2021, scammers embezzled $16 million from thousands of investors, capitalising on the hype around NFTs and the hit Netflix tv show ‘Squid Game’. Throughout the episodes, Janhoi and Ciarán apply OSINT (open source investigation tools) and digital research skills to identify and track down a suspect.
