Australian Jewish leaders urge government action to combat antisemitism

The tragic attack at Bondi Beach has prompted discussions about the rising levels of antisemitism in recent years and urgently needed government action.

NBC News reported on Australia’s Jewish community leaders’ urges for the federal government to act in the wake of a resurgence of antisemitism following the October 7 attacks.

The outlet cited ISD’s research finding a 4,963 percent increase in the number of antisemitic YouTube comments on conflict-related videos, compared to the days before the October 7 attack.

ISD analysts found this surge was reflected in fringe platforms like 4chan, Bitchute, Gab and Telegram, which experienced a 50 percent increase in daily antisemitic comments.
