ISD CEO Sasha Havlicek to speak at the Future of Democracy Conference

ISD’s CEO and Co-Founder Sasha Havlicek took part in The Future of Democracy conference hosted by the Open Markets Institute at the European Parliament in Brussels on October 15. The event brought together leading thinkers and policymakers to explore the challenges that rapidly evolving technologies—such as artificial intelligence—pose to democratic governance.

Sasha spoke on the panel “Whose Free Speech? Corporate Power as the Missing Link in the Debate” alongside David Kaye, Former UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression; Jonathan Kanter, Former Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice; and Alexandra Geese, Member of the European Parliament.

The event was live streamed on the Open Markets Institute YouTube channel.
