ISD’s Joseph Bodnar Speaks to AFP about a pro-Russian operation spreading disinformation on social media

Joseph Bodnar, a Senior Research Manager at ISD, spoke to Agence France-Press about “Doppleganger,” a pro-Russian influence operation on social media. The article explores how Meta is making money off the campaign which targets users in France, Germany, Poland and Italy by imitating popular media outlets.

According to Joseph, the campaign “adapts to current events… focuses on real problems and tries to extrapolate them to make them worse.”
