Internship Programme – AMEA Intern

As part of its ongoing Internship programme ISD is seeking an Intern to join the AMEA team and support its pioneering work combatting disinformation, extremism and malign influence campaigns across the world. The intern will support projects across Africa, the Middle-East, Asia, and the Balkans working on:

  • Examining the impact of disinformation on take-up of the COVID-19 vaccine
  • Bringing together governments to discuss digital policy and platform regulation
  • Researching extremist presence on various social media channels
  • Delivering digital citizenship education to young people and adults
  • Engaging businesses in countering extremism and hate speech

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Subject knowledge of countering violent extremism, social cohesion, disinformation, and ISD’s core mission.
  • Some experience of an office environment, and;
  • A proactive attitude and outstanding attention to detail.

Experience of working with a research, project management, or civic action organisation is desirable and preference will be given to candidates with professional-level language skills, particularly Arabic.  For more details and to view the Job Description, click here.
