Developing and Implementing Local Action Plans for P/CVE in East Africa: SCN Toolkit with lessons from Kenya.

Toolkit designed by The Strong Cities Network (SCN), based on Kenya’s experience in developing County Action Plans (CAPs) as a resource for governments and civil society organisations in East Africa who are interested in developing a Local Action Plan (LAP). LAPs seek to build a multisectoral approach to strengthening community resilience and addressing the root causes of violent extremism, polarisation and hate.

Together for Safety: 21 Ways Forward 2021

The Together for Safety webinars were a series of online talks to tackle pressing urban safety and security challenges with a key focus on addressing hate, polarisation and extremism across the Nordics and in cities around the world. They spotlighted mayors and city leaders, policymakers, practitioners, youth, civil society and subject matter experts.

Community Resilience Study: Kumanovo, North Macedonia

As part of its Strong Cities Network regional engagement in Kumanovo, North Macedonia, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue conducted a representative survey of the population to better understand local dynamics of resilience. The findings from this study will serve as an evidence base to target Community Action Team activities listed in the Local Action Plan for Preventing Violent Extremism.

Digital Resilience: Stronger Citizens Online

This report presents the findings from our Digital Resilience pilot, which suggest that digital citizenship educational approaches can be an effective tool for increasing the resilience of young people to extremist grooming and exploitation online.
