USA Today: ISD’s Katherine Keneally on the rise of online activity in extremist spaces following the J6 pardons
Katherine Keneally, Director of Threat Analysis and Prevention at ISD US, spoke to USA Today about the ramifications of President Trump’s pardoning of January 6 perpetrators. Katherine explains how the prosecutions significantly reduced extremist activity over the last three years: “That accountability had a significant impact on people ‒ on extremist’s willingness to do stuff in the open.”
However, “the accountability has been stripped away,” Katherine said.
