Sasha Havlicek speaks to Radio 4’s Today programme on enforcing the West’s red lines against Putin

ISD’s CEO, Sasha Havlicek, appeared on Radio 4’s flagship news and current affairs programme, Today, to discuss the last two decades of Western response to Vladimir Putin. Speaking alongside Jonathan Powell, she highlighted Putin’s repeated testing of Western resolve with his war in Georgia in 2008 and war crimes in support of the Assad regime during the Syrian civil war, sending mercenaries into Libya and the Sahel and, most recently, the invasion of Ukraine. All of this has been accompanied by a constant drumbeat of cyber and information warfare both domestically and abroad.

Sasha’s participation in the programme starts at 7:12 onward.
