ISD’s Jakob Guhl speaks to Hyphen about cuts to Germany’s mental health services for asylum seekers

Jakob Guhl, Senior Manager of Policy & Research at ISD, spoke to Hyphen about Germany’s decision to cut mental health funding for asylum seekers. The move is intended to reduce terror attacks, but Jakob argues this approach ignores the real factors that lead to radicalisation.  

 “They are conflating anti-migration policies and radicalisation. It’s hard to explain to anyone how cutting benefits will help stop terror attacks”, said Jakob.
