Open Discourse and Fighting Extremism in the Virtual World
On March 25th, Sasha Havlicek was invited to participate in a panel discussion for the 2021 Virtual Cornerstone Conference, facilitated by the International Women’s Forum, an invitation-only women’s organization set up “to support the women leaders of today and tomorrow.” Joining her on the panel, “The Path Forward: Open Discourse and Fighting Extremism in the Virtual World” moderated by CNN’s Homeland Security Correspondent Jeanne Meserve was documentary filmmaker and activist Mo Asumang and Mary Gately of DLA Piper LLP. Sasha outlined ISD’s 15 years of expertise in challenging extremism and the responsibilities of social media companies.
