OCCI Mini-Hackathon

The hackathon aimed to produce a multi-partnered, Pan-European, decentralized civil society-led campaign that promotes a positive and unified message on World Humanitarian Day (August 19th), with support from participating technology companies. The campaign, rather than focusing on challenging hate and prejudice, focused on celebrating unity and compassion.

Event programme:

• Session One: ISD presentation on counter-messaging campaigns
• Session Two: Group work to discuss a shared message attendees wanted to vocalise on World Humanitarian Day
• Session Three: 70-minute group work for group member NGOs to produce digital assets for their campaigns
