ISD CEO Sasha Havlicek spoke alongside experts from academia and the public and private sectors at  Fighting Misinformation Online 2022: Ideas Exchange. The one-day event in Prague was organised by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the European University Institute and partners of the European Media and Information Fund, in collaboration with Google and YouTube.

Stakeholders from various sectors across Europe came together to share knowledge about mis- and disinformation. The event focused on curbing this growing threat, with a particular interest in building media literacy to provide audiences with critical thinking skills.

Sasha shared insights about mis- and disinformation from ISD’s research and monitoring of online spaces across various platforms. The speakers were Peter Pomerantsev, author of Nothing is True and Everything is Possible and This Is Not Propaganda, Ladka Mortkowitz Bauerova, from the news organisation AFP Prague, and Jon Roozenbeek, from Cambridge University.
