Debunking Conspiracy Theories
Aoife Gallagher joined this session by the Oxford Forum for Questioning ‘Extremism’ to discuss the detrimental effects which conspiracy theories pose to wider society, focusing on the psychological, philosophical, security and online implications of conspiracy theories: why people are inclined to believe in them, how they are spread and assimilated in the modern world, and how we can engage and disarm this particular strand of misinformation.
