Climate disinformation trends in 2021 and beyond

ISD’s Jennie King participated in the Act for Climate Truth network’s webinar Responding to Climate Disinformation, sharing 2021 trends in climate mis- and disinformation and insights from leading the ISD COP26 ‘War Room’. Jennie presented key insights from ISD research and predicted lines of attack for 2022.

Key takeaways included the use of COVID-19 narratives by actors in opposition to the ‘green agenda’,  the rise of ‘non-climate influencers’, and the reliance on narratives around elitism and ‘absolutionism’.
